TÜBINGEN – Kinder, deren Familien zugewandert sind, tun sich manchmal schwer in der Schule. Dagegen will das Land helfen, indem es Fördergelder für Integrationsprojekte in der Kinderbetreuung gibt. 25.000 Euro aus diesem Topf fließen jetzt nach Tübingen: Sie sind für das Projekt Interkulturelles Netzwerk Elternbildung Tübingen (INET).
Der Tübinger Grünen-Abgeordnete Daniel Lede Abal freut sich über die Förderung für Tübingen: „INET ist ein wirklich wertvolles Projekt. Damit unterstützen wir in Tübingen ganz gezielt Familien mit Zuwanderungsgeschichte im Bereich Bildung. Bei INET arbeiten ehrenamtliche Multiplikatorinnen und Multiplikatoren mit, die selbst eine Zuwanderungsgeschichte haben. Ihre eigenen Erfahrungen helfen ihnen, denn sie können gut auf das eingehen, was die Eltern beschäftigt und was sie brauchen.“ Das Land sorge mit seiner Förderung für INET dafür, dass Kinder nach einer Flucht oder Migration bessere Bildungschancen bekommen.
INET ist ein Projekt der Stabsstelle Gleichstellung und Integration in der Stadtverwaltung der Universitätsstadt Tübingen. Die erklärten Ziele bei INET: Das Projekt will die Nachteile reduzieren, wie zugewanderte Menschen im Bereich Bildung sie häufig erleben. Dafür arbeitet das Netzwerk eng zusammen mit der Verwaltung, mit Kitas, Schulen, Bildungsträgern, internationalen Vereinen, Jugendhilfeeinrichtungen und den Stadtteiltreffs.
Rund 160 ehrenamtliche Multiplikatorinnen und Multiplikatoren unterstützen INET, die meisten sind selbst zugewandert. Sie werden speziell für ihr Ehrenamt geschult und stehen den Familien zur Seite, wenn es um Bildung, Kita und Schule geht. Beispielsweise übersetzen sie bei Elterngesprächen in Kitas und Schulen oder bei Elternabenden, übernehmen Familienpatenschaften, organisieren Elterncafés sowie Infoabende. Zusätzlich beraten sie Kitas und Schulen, die ihre interkulturelle Öffnung und eine Sensibilisierung für interkulturelle Themen voranbringen wollen.
Das Geld stammt aus dem Topf des Elternmentoren-Programms, welches das Ministerium für Soziales, Gesundheit und Integration vor einigen Jahren gestartet hat. Die Grundidee: Indem man in Familien mit Zuwanderungsgeschichte die Eltern unterstützt, kann man die Bildungschancen für die Kinder verbessern. Gefördert werden die Elternmentoren im Land bereits zum dritten Mal – nun erstmals für einen Zeitraum von zwei Jahren. Insgesamt werden 27 Projekte unterstützt. Sie erhalten insgesamt rund 660.000 Euro.

Eine unabhängige Jury von Expertinnen und Experten hat über die Projekte beraten, die eine Förderung beantragt hatten. Die Jury hat dem Ministerium die 27 Projekte empfohlen, die nun auch gefördert werden. Ausschlaggebend war, wie viel Innovationskraft ein Projekt hat und wie gut es umsetzbar ist. 18 der 27 Projekte sind in der Hand von kommunalen Trägern, die übrigen neun sind freie Träger wie Vereine oder Migranten-Organisationen.
